Recently I had the opportunity to speak with Suzy from Beyond the Bus Stop. I had heard an interview with Suzy and couldn’t help but think that military wives could benefit from BTBS. Be sure to stop by the BTBS web-site.
How do I know if Beyond the Bus Stop is for me?
If you can say yes to any of them, then Beyond the Bus Stop is for you!

“Dishonest money dwindles away, but he who gathers money little by little makes it grow.” Proverbs 13:11 (NIV)
We can gather money in all sorts of ways. It is good to save a little where we can for a rainy day.
FMWCN is excited to annouce Kayti Wilburn as our new co-host. Some of you may know Kayti as our Fitness Resident Expert. Here is a little about Kayti.
I’m 28, the oldest of five children and grew up in Northern California. I served four years in the Army before marrying my best friend Ben, who was also a soldier and settling into the crazy life of a SAHM and Military Wife. We have six children, Melodie, Steven, Aiden, Sarah, Benny and Isabella ranging in age from 8 to 1, and I would be lost without God showing me the way and carrying me for most of it. One day I realized that I wasn’t strong enough to carry my children up the three flights of stairs to our apartment in Germany, my husband was deployed and I was tired of asking neighbors for help. With His strength to hold me up, I began my own personal journey to physical health which turned into a passion for helping other Military Wives strengthen their bodies as well as their souls. I am currently persuing my CPT accredidation through the AFPA.
Listen for her first show as our official co-host on January 8th at 11 a.m. EST on Blog Talk Radio.
We are sad to see Sara Horn leave as our co-host. Here is a note from Sara.
It’s Not Goodbye, Just See You Soon
I hate goodbyes. Growing up, my family moved around a lot with my dad’s job. I was in 10 schools before high school. And no, he wasn’t in the military. But saying goodbye and starting over was still never easy. As I got older, physical goodbyes have not been as frequent as the emotional ones – saying goodbyes to passages or seasons of life. Learning, growing and moving forward. I wanted to let our listeners know that I am stepping away from the radio show. As much as I love talking with Shannon and with our listeners, I recognize that my sweet spot is writing. I also need to focus on the needs of Wives of Faith this year and there is only so much time in a day. I’m sure you can relate! I’m so thankful that God’s given me a passion for ministering to military wives but I want to do it in the way He wants me to and at this time I need to focus on helping grow local Wives of Faith groups and developing the resources those local leaders will need to minister to wives in their communities.
It has been great to partner with Shannon and work with someone who is also just as passionate about ministering to military wives and I’m looking forward to seeing great things come from the show this year. Wives of Faith and FMWCN will still work together on some things, like the message board we will continue to share, and the Survival Sister chats. I wish Shannon and Kayti and FMWCN a great 2010 and a wonderful new year of shows! Please stop by Wives of Faith any time to say hello.
This weeks scripture will be “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.” Proverbs 16:3 NIV
Each week we will have a different scripture for the live radio show. This is in an effort to help us all memorize scripture.
As we embark on a New Year and new adventures we must remember to ask the Lord into all areas of our lives. Once we commit all areas of our lives to the Lord we will see great things happen. Ask the Lord into your life today on each adventure that you start.
